Home medical equipment is a category of devices used for patients whose care is being managed from a home or other private facility managed by a nonprofessional caregiver or family member. ... DME: Durable Medical Equipment. HME: Home Medical Equipment. DMEPOS: Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics and Supplies. *Pay: *$20-22/hr *Start Date: 6/2* *Description:* * Answer calls from patients regarding their home medical equipment orders, up to 50 a day * Insurance verification * Data entry of call information * Review daily order logs * Verify patient information, prescription details, and shipping information for validity * Cross reference data between internal and external systems * Open reports in Excel, sort and filter data *Skills:* Customer service, Call center, Health care, Insurance *Work Environment* * Professional office environment. * Team of about 20 or so, on HME. Home Services Building is located off of Halsey. * Business casual, no jeans * Each individual has their own cubicle, lots of free parking, not onsite at a hospital, so no patient interaction face to face. *Additional Skills & Qualifications:* 1+ year of experience providing customer service over the phone Healthcare experience preferred Familiarity with insurance verification preferred (do you know the difference between Medicare and Medicaid?) 2+ months of experience performing data entry (in a call center setting preferred) Ability to use Excel to: open spreadsheets, sort data *Employee Value Proposition (EVP)* Long term opportunity with a well established Healthcare Company with excellent medical benefits and room for growth when converted *Experience Level:* Entry Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
