*Description*
As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be integral to the financial operations of the healthcare facility, ensuring accurate billing and collections. Reporting to the Billing Manager, your core responsibilities will include managing unpaid medical claims, utilizing EHR systems, reviewing and appealing unpaid claims, assisting patients with billing questions, and providing estimates to patients prior to treatment. Knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-10, and HCPCS will be essential for processing claims efficiently. With a focus on medical collections and coding accuracy, you will help maintain the organization's revenue cycle and contribute to the overall success of our medical billing team. DAY TO DAY: Working denials via tasks that are generated in the practice management system - NexGen Working any correspondence / mail that comes in for those payers Will work their Accounts Receivable aging Answering phones / Assisting patients with billing questions *Skills* AR Follow Up, icd-10, Medical Billing, insurance, NexGen, EMR, Excel *Top Skills Details* AR Follow Up,icd-10,Medical Billing,insurance *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Insurance knowledge 2 years of medical billing - specifically AR Follow up ICD10 knowledge Denial management experience High school diploma *Experience Level* Intermediate Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
