Curious and innovative problem solvers looking for the chance to meaningfully shape the future of cardiac health, our company, and your career

About This Role:

iRhythm is seeking an experienced Clinical Training Manager to lead our global training team. This role is responsible for developing and managing scalable, clinically accurate learning programs that support both new hire onboarding and the ongoing professional development of Qualified Cardiac Technicians (QCTs).

The successful candidate will design and implement curriculum strategy, instructional design and content development, focusing on building clinical competence across our workforce. While the role may occasionally involve delivering training, its primary focus is ensuring that all programs align with clinical, regulatory, and organizational objectives.

This position plays a critical role in transforming training from a one-time onboarding activity into a continuous improvement process that drives performance, quality and patient outcomes.

Our environment is fast-paced and highly collaborative, driven by a shared passion for delivering innovations that enhance healthcare quality and the patient experience.

This is a hybrid role, with the option to be based in our San Francisco, Deerfield, or Houston offices.

Specific Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and execute the Global Clinical Operations training strategy in partnership with leadership, identifying training gaps and creating targeted, scalable solutions to enhance quality, efficiency, and performance.

  • Lead and develop a global team of onshore and offshore trainers, ensuring alignment with business growth, quality, and regulatory objectives.

  • Design and deliver scalable, competency-based learning programs that support both new hire onboarding and continuous professional development for Qualified Cardiac Technicians (QCTs).

  • Oversee new hire training to ensure timely onboarding and achievement of clinical competency milestones.

  • Drive ongoing skill enhancement through refresher and advanced training programs that improve engagement, retention, and clinical accuracy.

  • Lead curriculum strategy and instructional design, applying adult learning principles and frameworks (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create blended, modular learning programs (e-learning, virtual, and in-person).

  • Translate complex clinical workflows, product updates, and evidence-based practices into engaging, compliant learning content.

  • Ensure training compliance with all regulatory and quality standards, supporting ongoing FDA remediation initiatives.

  • Utilize data-driven insights to monitor and measure training effectiveness, making continual improvements based on learner performance metrics, feedback, and business outcomes.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, Quality/Regulatory, and Product teams to validate clinical and regulatory accuracy.

  • Manage the content development lifecycle, including SME reviews, version control, and updates within the LMS or training repository.

  • Champion innovation in learning design by leveraging multimedia tools, analytics, and emerging educational technologies to enhance learner engagement and program scalability.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced professional who has the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Education, Instructional Design and Technology, or a related clinical/scientific discipline; equivalent experience in clinical education or training design will also be considered.

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant clinical experience e.g. RN, Paramedic, EMT, CCT

  • Minimum of 3 years in clinical education, instructional design, or curriculum management (preferably in med-tech or healthcare).

  • Proven track record of managing onshore and offshore training teams, instructional designers, and competency programs in a high-growth, fast-paced setting.

  • A practical, working leader approach - comfortable with direct involvement in training delivery, coaching and problem solving alongside the team.

  • A change agent mindset, adaptable and proactive in implementing new training strategies that deliver measurable improvements in performance and engagement.

  • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills, working effectively with production, quality, compliance and clinical operations teams.

  • Data-Driven Approach: Strong familiarity with training metrics, competency frameworks, and assessment methodologies to evaluate effectiveness and inform continuous improvement.

  • Process Improvement: Demonstrated success in scaling training programs, leading process improvements, and using data-driven insights to enhance learning outcomes.

  • Regulatory Understanding: Deep understanding of regulatory, compliance, and quality requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO, HIPAA) within a healthcare or med-tech environment.

  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex training projects end-to-end, balancing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
