Job Overview

As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (COM) has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients. In partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, College of Medicine's doctors are transforming the world of medicine every day. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is a top-tier department with a world-renowned faculty and staff.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking to fill an Assistant Professor - Research position with a focus on clinical research. This position will be 100% clinical research.

Essential Functions

  • Lead and contribute to research endeavors focused on gynecologic oncology and cancer prevention, ensuring scientific rigor and adherence to project timelines. This will include engaging in the development and design of cancer prevention and treatment research studies, adhering to established and IRB approved protocols and to outlined protocol-related experiments.
  • Lead clinical trial design and management efforts for the PI's Global Cancer Control Program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards while also assisting in crafting grant proposals to secure funding for research initiatives.
  • Engage in grant writing and provide support in regulatory affairs related to grant work, including but not limited to IRB submissions and compliance documentation.
  • Integrate data obtained from programmatic research into regulatory reports or other dissemination output.

Minimum Requirements

All of the following are required prior to effective date of appointment:




  • PhD in Epidemiology, Public Health, or related field.
  • 3 years' experience which must have included all of the following: research project design, implementation, and analysis within the field of Epidemiology, Public Health, or Health Behavior, and analyzing research-related data using SAS, STATA, or R software.
