Saw Operator (1st Shift)

Taking instructions from the machine shop lead and assisting with miscellaneous job assignments, the saw operator is responsible for operating saws to cut parts to print lengths. The saw operator must be precise and accurate on their cutting to ensure that the finished product meets the quality standards. Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager/department lead.

Specific Responsibilities

• Operate and set up the saw machine to cut materials accurately.
• Set stops or guides to specified lengths.
• Ability to read and understand prints and tolerances.
• Inspect materials for quality and accuracy, including removing all burrs and sharp edges.
• Perform routine maintenance on saw equipment.
• Assist co-workers as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Candidate Specifications

Minimum Requirements

• Prefer 1+ years' experience.
• Physically fit - able to lift 50 lbs. repetitively.
• Able to read tape measure in 1/32" increments.
