This position is full time. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM MST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends. Employees are required to work 3 days in office and 2 days from home.

This will be paid on-the-job training and the hours during training will be aligned with your schedule.

If you are within commutable distance to the office at 1707 Cole Blvd, Golden, CO, you will have the flexibility to work from home and the office in this hybrid role* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Answer incoming calls in a customer friendly and professional manner to determine the purpose and request of the call and process appropriately
  • Meet department metric expectations for answering and processing calls
  • Schedule and reschedule appointments for patients according to established protocols and templates
  • Be sure to obtain appropriate and accurate data based upon the reason / diagnosis / chief complaint that is given by the patient
  • Register patients accurately by gathering basic demographic and insurance information, Update information as needed
  • Inform patient to be prepared to pay any copay or down payment due at the time of service and communicate any instructions patients may need prior to their appointment
  • Answer non - appointment patient care calls as needed
  • Task messages to the appropriate clinical person to be worked / processed and completed
  • Ensure all necessary information is entered into Epic including any patient portal requests
  • Complete daily task bucket duties in accordance with scheduling guidelines and assist other teammates as needed with tasking duties as requested / assigned
  • Perform all other job duties as directed by the supervisor or manager

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 1+ years of experience working in a medical office / healthcare setting
  • Experience with computers and Windows based programs including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM MST from Monday - Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need to work occasional overtime.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with Epic
  • Experience with working in multi - specialty Medical office



Telecommuting Requirements:



  • Reside within commutable distance to the office at 1707 Cole Blvd, Golden, CO
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service



Soft Skills:



  • Proven ability to read and interpret documents and draft correspondence
  • Proven ability to accurately and appropriately document messages in a medical record
  • Proven to be capable of sitting for long periods of time

The hourly range for this role is $16.88 to $33.22 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
