About the Company/Opportunity: Vaco is partnering with a well-established, real estate company specializing in properties for innovative and fast-growing industries. Headquartered in San Diego, CA and is seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Reporting to join a dynamic and highly skilled accounting team. This leadership role offers strong exposure to senior management and the opportunity to influence key financial reporting processes across the organization. Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid) Job Title:Senior Manager, Financial Reporting Compensation: $130,000 - $160,000 base + Bonus + Equity Job Overview:Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will lead the financial reporting function for a high-performing accounting group. This role involves preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and coordinating with external auditors. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support business operations, capital transactions, and financial systems improvements. Responsibilities: Lead preparation and review of internal and external financial reporting packages Manage external audit process and provide required documentation Prepare reports and deliverables for loan and lender requirements Collaborate with IT and finance teams to enhance reporting automation and efficiency Monitor new accounting standards and regulatory updates, drafting technical memos as needed Analyze contracts and business transactions for accounting implications Support property acquisitions and dispositions, including purchase price allocations and closing statement reviews Maintain and improve financial reporting systems and processes Provide financial insights and support on special projects Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5-8 years of relevant financial reporting experience Background in public accounting (Big 4 experience preferred) CPA designation preferred Experience with real estate or asset-intensive industries is a plus Strong Excel skills; familiarity with financial reporting systems a bonus Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to manage deadlines and adapt to changing priorities Perks & Benefits: Comprehensive employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage Generous paid time off and family leave policies 401(k) plan with employer match Tuition reimbursement and ongoing professional development support Flexible spending and commuter benefits Additional lifestyle and wellness perks, including legal and identity theft protection Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
