- Advanced degree preferred or bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of related higher education experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience related to sales, marketing, development, business administration, higher education, project management, or relationship management.

Position Summary |
This position leads a team of fundraisers located in the University's schools, colleges, and units. The position serves as a part of the senior leadership group for the Associate Vice President for Development & Alumni Relations, while being focused on working with deans, vice presidents, and directors across the University, and with assigned development staff, on school/college/unit goals, priorities, and gift opportunities.
The position will also be expected to manage a portfolio of major gift prospects. The incumbent will be expected to meet monthly and annual goals for donor meetings, major gift asks, and total dollars raised. |

- Supervise/manage (in coordination with Deans/Directors/VPs) the fundraising performance and Development and Alumni Relations (DAR)-related activities of a group of assigned school/college/unit development directors/coordinators (SCUDDs) located across campus.
- Support assigned SCUDDs and Development Coordinators as they serve as a liaison between their school/college/unit and University Development and as the unit's primary development officer.
- Partner with the DAR Talent Management and DAR Human Resources teams along with school/college/unit leadership on the hiring, onboarding, and evaluation process. This also includes coaching and addressing any performance issues as needed.

- Strategize throughout the year with the SCUDDs and Development Coordinators and their Dean/Director/VP on the unit's annual work plan, top donors, unit and individual goals, and fundraising priorities.
- Meet individually with SCUDDs and Development Coordinators monthly. Discuss progress to goals, strategies on upcoming solicitations, and encourage collaboration with central and campus partners.
- Partner with the DAR Research and Prospect Management (RPM) teams to support communication and accountability in the Giving and Alumni Information Link (GAIL) system to keep plans/opportunities, and pipeline as accurate as possible. Attend regular RPM meetings with SCUDDs.

- Maintain a portfolio of 20-30 major gift and principal gift prospects, requiring visitation and face-to-face interaction on campus and off-site.
- Conduct a minimum of 2-4 monthly scheduled meetings with prospective donors, alumni, and UGA constituents. The purpose of the meetings is to discover, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward University-wide prospects and donors.
- Work collaboratively with the Office of Prospect Management & Prospect Research to identify, prioritize, and solicit prospects.
- Assist SCUDDs, Development Coordinators and Dean/Director/VP on soliciting and closing major gifts for the unit/University-wide.
