Full Time Description & Requirements Forvis Mazars LLP is seeking an Audit Senior Associate at its Dallas, TX location.
Job Description: Provide a range of assurance services and business advice to clients in the Manufacturing, Distribution and Consumer Product industries, and help solve complex accounting business issues that impact our clients' financial situations. Ensure strict adherence to the proprietary auditory processes and procedures of the Forvis Mazars group of companies. Assist with designing a unique and effective audit approach. Analyze, plan, organize, control and troubleshoot work activities and processes on assigned audit projects. Motivate employees within the guidelines and best practices of the Forvis Mazars Group. Lead in the planning, execution, reporting and completion of financial audits of assigned clients in the Manufacturing, Distribution and Consumer Product industries. Contribute to new business proposals and proposal development. Work with other audit professionals to identify and resolve client issues discovered during the audit. Uphold Forvis Mazars' code of ethics and business conduct and adhere to strict client confidentiality. Day-to-day duties will include: perform audit engagements for clients in the Manufacturing, Distribution and Consumer Product industries; contribute to the design and planning of engagements; create, update, and follow-up on client document request lists; research technical guidance and provide potential conclusions to Managers and Partners; interact with, and update clients, Managers, and Partners to ensure the timely filing of reports; supervise audit staff and take an active role in their professional development; meet strict deadlines and budgetary constraints; build and maintain meaningful relationships with clients; and manage staff performance, conduct timely performance reviews and provide feedback. Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week. Requires up to 25% domestic travel.
Minimum Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field of study (Foreign degree equivalent accepted). Position requires two (2) years of experience in any job title/occupation/position involving auditing or accounting in a CPA firm or professional services practice. Position requires two years of (2) experience with each of the following: Microsoft including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; US GAAP, GAAS or IFRS; and accounting and auditing, including challenging client estimates, assumptions and providing recommendations on internal control review. Position requires one (1) year of experience with each of the following: auditing with manufacturing, distribution, large corporations, multi-national companies or SEC registrants; ProSystem Engagement or any other audit preparation software program; supervising and empowering staff ability to adapt to different clients' environments and build strong client relationships; and working on multiple engagements simultaneously and competing priorities. Position requires CPA license or CPA eligible or foreign equivalent.
