Title: VP, Information Technology (ES)

Reports to: Terex CDO with matrix to President, ES

Location: Chattanooga, TN or Watertown, SD

Position Summary:

The Vice President, Information Technology (VP of IT) provides strategic leadership and oversight of operational IT functions for the ES (Environmental Solutions) segment. The VP of IT is responsible for aligning technology initiatives with business goals, modernizing IT infrastructure, enabling digital transformation, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of systems across multiple sites and digital platforms. This role bridges operational technology and information technology, aligning infrastructure, systems, and digital innovation with the company's growth and customer-centric goals.

As a member of the Terex CDO's leadership team, the VP will collaborate with other Information Technology leaders (segment and corporate) and business leaders to create and leverage enterprise-wide solutions. Doing so will help manage the priority mix between business segment and enterprise-wide demands. As a matrixed member of the ES President's leadership team, the VP of IT will understand segment objectives and challenges and work with business partners to leverage technology as a strategic asset. While advocating for the business, this leader must balance the segment needs with the advancement of enterprise-wide solutions to drive a simplified technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the ES IT strategy and roadmap in alignment with business and corporate objectives.

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to drive digital transformation and innovation across all business units.

  • Lead/manage technology related projects by creating clear plans, timelines, and resource requirements that maximize time to value.

  • Deliver critical systems on time and on budget, ensuring that they meet the needs and expectations of business leaders.

  • Provide pragmatic solutions, recognizing that "one size fits all" does not always exist.

  • Continually balance the need for customization / innovation with the practicalities of business realities.

  • Oversee implementation, management, and optimization of enterprise-wide IT systems (e.g., JDE, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce).

  • Ensure the stability, scalability, and security of the IT infrastructure across multiple sites.

  • Support robust cybersecurity strategies and risk management frameworks.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO, GDPR, ITAR).

  • Lead ES IT budgeting, resource planning, vendor management, and governance processes.

  • Monitor KPIs and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure high performance and reliability.

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing IT organization.

  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, continuous improvement, and customer-centricity.

  • Work across business segments and functions with IT counterparts to provide effective and efficient solutions that support transformation priorities.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.

  • 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience, preferably in technology, manufacturing and or industrial sectors.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale IT infrastructure, business applications, and operations.

  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure.

  • Strategic mindset; demonstrated ability to align technology strategy with business goals.

  • Ability to cultivate innovation, drive vision and purpose, and manage complexity.

  • Fosters inclusion, develops talent, and drives engagement.

  • Ability to take a global perspective and strong financial acumen.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 25-50%.
