ATI is seeking a General Accounting Manager for our Millersburg, Oregon location. This is an onsite, day shift position, working Monday - Friday and will report directly to the Controller. You will supervise a small team of 3 - 4 employees and carry your own workload. The General Accounting Manager is responsible for general accounting functions including: managing and maintaining the Company books in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and providing direction and support of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and treasury staff and associated processes and activities. The General Accounting Manager ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and is responsible for the overall completeness and accuracy of the Company's general ledger.

In order to become successful and provide immediate impact, you will have to quickly learn ATI's processes and work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Sales, Engineering and Operations. The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks with strict deadlines and build strong relationships with their team. The Accounting Manager will be an excellent communicator, detail oriented, be able to work with diverse personalities, be self-directed and will be comfortable leading and mentoring a team.

Responsibilities
* Manage monthly closing process and production of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company Accounting Standards.
* Create and post journal entries as necessary to accurately record transactions in the general ledger.
* Produce supplemental financial reports and metrics.
* Ensure all general ledger accounts are reconciled appropriately at each month-end.
* Perform credit review of new customers and manages payment/credit limits for existing customers.
* Maintain chart of accounts.
* Monitor accounts receivable for collection concerns, coordinates customer follow-up and, if necessary, makes recommendations for bad debt reserve.
* Supervise and mentor staff of four direct reports.
* Responsible for Monthly Financial Submittal to Corporate Office, Quarterly/Annual Reporting.
* Other duties including:
- Supervise general accounting team
- Act as primary contact for internal and external audits.
- Maintain process descriptions for revenue, expenditures, payroll, and financial close.
- Seeks out opportunities to improve processes by leveraging technology, working with internal and external suppliers/customers, and eliminating waste.
- Duty Drawback filings.
- Tax reporting.

Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
* At least 2 years of formal supervisory experience. Skilled in assisting team members with critical thinking, removing road blocks for the team and driving towards a resolution when questions or issues arise.
* At least 5 years of accounting experience with integrated accounting systems including internal controls, SOX, reconciliations, general ledger and sub ledgers.

Preferences
* Experience with Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is desirable. Knowledge of large Accounting Software or ERP system required.
* Knowledge of Generally Acceptable Accounting Principles (GAAP).

* Experience with technical accounting processes, with emphasis on general bookkeeping.

* Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Possess effective computer/software operation, with expert skill in MS Excel.
* Perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy.

Salary Range: $98,000 to $128,000/annually +
