Detailed Job Description:

Butler is seeking an Associate Project Manager to support technical teams with project management and operations related activities. Successful candidates are those with traits of a servant leader and demonstrate the ability to adapt to the changing requirements of Butler clients in the engineering services forum.

Associate Project Manager will report to Program Management leader and work to support multidisciplinary teams to meet business and performance goals for 'Statement of Work' projects. Responsibilities will initially involve working with the Engineering and Quality teams to document, organize and continually improve group processes and metrics. Responsibilities will expand further to other project management related responsibilities as cognizance of Butler's clients expands.

Desired Experience includes:

  • Engineering program experience - Aerospace preferred but will consider related industries such as Defense and/or Space industries, Automotive, Industrial, etc.
  • Defense program experience
  • U.S. Export Control compliance experience (i.e. has worked on ITAR, EAR programs)
  • Experience ensuring adherence to Quality Program requirements and procedures such as AS9100 or similar
  • Exposer to review and implementation of contractual terms and conditions



Responsibilities:

  • Tracking personnel onboarding and transition status including coordination with internal and external customers
  • Support Program Leadership to ensure contractual compliance and maintenance of related documentation
  • Maintain and ensure project funding and budget adherence, including applicable tracking and reporting requirements for active projects
  • Collaborate with Quality team to foster metric establishment and tracking & continual process improvement
  • Support engineering teams to ensure training goals are met and documented
  • Issue resolution of contract, personnel and project related items



Skills:

  • Good communication skills, including procedure creation and data analysis
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel
  • Project tracking and analysis background required. Proficiency with project tracking tools such as MS Project a plus
  • Power BI background preferred
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor preferred
