Responsibilities to Anticipate this Role
The Associate production planner is responsible for supporting the development and execution of production schedules to meet customer demand, optimize resources, and maintain inventory levels. This role works closely with manufacturing, procurement, logistics and customer service teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of products.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining detailed daily, weekly and monthly production schedules.
  • Analyze demand forecasts and inventory data to plan material and production requirements.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to resolve conflicts or delays.
  • Communicate with internal departments to coordinate planning activities.
  • Track material availability and escalate supply issues that may impact production.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to streamline planning and scheduling processes.
  • Generate and maintain reports related to production performance, inventory status and schedule adherence.
  • Ensure accurate data entry into ERP or MRP systems.
  • Participate in meetings to review production performance and capacity planning.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's degree in supply chain, Operations Management or related field (Bachelor's preferred).
  • 1-2 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a manufacturing support role in a manufacturing or production environment required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Seven plus year experience in manufacturing, quality control or quality engineer required.
  • Analytical mindset with problem solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
