The team prefers someone with a RT NJ license as well as PA. 2 years of previous pulmonary lab or pediatric respiratory care expereince is required. New hire will mainly work at Virtua Voorhees however will train at Main Hospital and will be required to go to Main as needed. The Pulmonary Function Technologist is responsible for performing modalities of pulmonary diagnostic testing offered by the PFT lab with minimal guidance. Provides age appropriate services to infant, adolescent, and adult patients. Performs calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting on equipment within the lab's scope. Professionally interacts with vendors, patients, family members, regulatory agencies, and other medical professionals.
What you will do
- Performs routine and specialty pulmonary function testing efficiently, while achieving ATS standards.
- Participates in research projects supported through the lab by learning new techniques and skills to follow studies' required protocols.
- Teaches skills and provides knowledge to aid department in providing education and orientation.
Education Qualifications
- Associate's Degree - Required
- Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
Experience Qualifications
- At least two (2) years pulmonary lab or pediatric respiratory care experience - Required

- Computer literacy for performing testing as well as editing data.

Licenses and Certifications
- Respiratory Therapist (Pennsylvania) - Pennsylvania State Licensing Board - upon hire - Required and
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) - upon hire - Required or
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) - National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) - upon hire - Required and
- Registered Pulmonary Function Tech (RPFT) - National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) - within 18 months - Required or
- Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) - National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) - within 18 months - Required and
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - issued through on organization that requires a hands-on instructor lead psychomotor skills verification (ex. American Heart Association or Red Cross). - upon hire - Required
- Registered Respiratory Therapist - Neonatal Pediatric Specialty (RRT-NPS) - National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) - upon hire - Preferred
