GP Strategies Government Solutions, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Benefits Administrator to administer our employee benefits programs. This role is responsible for the administration and communication of all employee benefits, including health and welfare plans, retirement plans, leave of absence programs, and wellness initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional employee experiences. Key Responsibilities: * Administer all employee benefits programs, including self-funded medical and dental, and vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k), FSA/HSA, and wellness programs. * Serve as the benefits module expert, ensuring accurate setup, maintenance, and reporting of benefits data. * Approve benefit enrollments, changes and terminations and ensure all required documentation is completed. * Lead annual open enrollment processes, including Paylocity system configuration, carrier file integration, vendor invoicing set-up, and employee communication. * Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, as well as compliance with new and existing statutory sick leave accrual requirements, employee/employer funded state leave programs and other statutory benefits in all 50 states. * Manage 401k retirement savings plan including compliance, eligibility, enrollments, terminations, contribution file validation and funding, system reconfigurations following statutory changes (e.g. SECURE 2.0), discrimination testing and annual plan audits. * Partner with payroll to ensure accurate benefits deductions and resolve discrepancies. * Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, claims, and plan provisions. * Reconcile and coordinate payment of monthly benefit vendor invoices. * Maintain and audit benefits records and reports; prepare data for audits, testing requirements, and filings to be coordinated by parent company. * Support leave of absence administration, including FMLA, ADA, and other statutory leaves. Coordinate company leave benefits with available state programs. * Maintain statutory notices and other benefit documents and information on the company's intranet site. Requirements
Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. * 5+ years of experience in benefits administration * 2+ years of experience in 401k retirement plan administration is preferred. * Strong knowledge of employee benefit laws and regulations. * Proficiency in HRIS systems * Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. * HR certification (e.g., CEBS, PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus. * Strong Excel skills and experience with data analytics. May need to view presentation screens and other visual aids in a virtual setting. * Inside environmental conditions with protection from outside elements.
