Job Summary:



The Agarwal Lab is looking for a part-time (0.5FTE) Professional Research Assistant with experience in general laboratory/biochemistry procedures.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Assist research personnel in conducting lab work and experiments, including rabbit ocular studies, mice handling, some experience with animal handling and procedures will be preferred, samples isolation and preparation, slide preparation (labeling and sectioning), various staining techniques, microscopy, and assisting with data analysis.
  • Sample collection and preparation
  • Assist the Laboratory Manager with laboratory organization



Work Location:



Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:



Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.



  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a closely related field


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in Biochemistry, Biophysics, structural biology, or a related field
  • Experience with structural biology methods, protein purification, and other analytical techniques.

  • Knowledge of the lab workflow and procedures to assist in any aspect of lab protocol, or ability to learn
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.

  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to problem-solve, multi-task, and work independently.

Anticipated Pay Range:



The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$24,205 - $32,531

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
