Who We Are:

Are you a passionate innovator looking to harness the power of technology to do more good? You've come to the right place. At Bonterra, our purpose is to power those who power social impact. To that end, we serve the people who make social good possible-the doers behind the scenes across nonprofits, public agencies, corporations, philanthropic organizations, and foundations.

As the second-largest and fastest-growing social good software company in the world, Bonterra brings together leading solutions from Strategic Philanthropy, Fundraising & Engagement, and Impact Management and their respective entities. By bringing our intuitive technology and expertise together, Bonterra will enable unprecedented connectivity between social good organizations and their community of supporters and constituents. This will reshape philanthropic giving, empower digital transformation, and bring the social good sector the technology it needs to accelerate lasting social change.

Who You Are:

Are you a data-driven product leader who sees the transformative potential of a unified data foundation paired with strategic AI/ML implementation? Do you have the technical expertise to build robust data infrastructure while also having the vision to leverage that data for AI-powered solutions that drive measurable impact? Are you passionate about creating the foundation that will power the next generation of social good technology?

We're seeking a Data Product Manager who will own our Data Platform roadmap and execution. This role sits at the critical intersection of data infrastructure and AI innovation - building the foundational data warehouse that will not only serve our immediate analytical needs but also become the backbone for our AI/ML initiatives across all Bonterra products.

You'll be responsible for establishing our enterprise data platform roadmap while simultaneously supporting the roadmap for our data science team, ensuring we're delivering the right AI/ML solutions to deliver maximum value for our customers. This isn't just about implementing the latest AI trends - it's about building a comprehensive data ecosystem that enables us to leverage the unique breadth of our data assets to transform the social good space.

Your Impact:
  • Build the Foundation - Refine and execute the vision for our enterprise data warehouse, establishing the architecture and processes that will turn our data into a strategic asset

  • Unlock Data Value - Establish data consistency that connects information across our product portfolio, enabling insights that individual products alone cannot provide

  • Drive AI Innovation - Assist the data science team with the prioritization and delivery of AI/ML initiatives across the organization

  • Architect for Scale - Work with your Engineering counterparts to design a data platform that can grow with our business, supporting both current analytical needs and future AI applications

  • Enable Data Democracy - Create systems that make our rich data accessible to stakeholders across the organization while ensuring compliance and security

What We're Looking For:
  • A strategic thinker who can translate complex data concepts into clear business value

  • 3+ years of product management experience with demonstrated success in data products or platforms

  • Deep understanding of data warehouse architecture, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes

  • Experience with data warehousing tools like snowflake

  • Experience designing and implementing data products that power analytics and/or machine learning applications

  • Knowledge of the AI/ML landscape with the ability to evaluate which solutions (LLMs, predictive modeling, recommendation engines, etc.) best fit specific business challenges

  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with modern data stack technologies

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including data engineers, data scientists, and business users

  • Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Passion for using technology to accelerate social impact

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with AWS Glue, Airbyte, or Fivetran for data ingestion and ELT processes

  • Understanding of CI/CD, IaC, and software engineering best practices

Our Commitment to You:
  • The opportunity to build the cornerstone of our company's data and AI strategy

  • Access to a unique breadth of social good data that can drive unprecedented insights and impact

  • Resources to execute on both foundational data infrastructure and innovative AI applications

  • A collaborative environment that values both technical excellence and real-world impact

  • The chance to shape how technology transforms the social good sector

This role represents a unique opportunity to establish the data foundation that will power Bonterra's vision of increasing social good giving to "3% by '33". You'll be building the connective tissue that allows us to leverage our product breadth and data assets - one of our key competitive differentiators as we create the Bonterra Network marketplace.
