The Cancer Center of Kansas (CCK) is seeking a temporary, on-site Support Services Assistant Summer Intern to join our team in our Wichita, KS offices. This temporary position offers flexible hours with no major holidays, no on-call and no weekends.

What does this position entail?

Under direct supervision, provides (non-driving errands) as requested by Support Services Manager or designate personnel. Performs routine but varied clerical duties in accordance with standard procedures such as photocopying, filing, posting information, and mail distribution for the office. Assists in receiving and stocking of materials.


Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position are:

  • Completes all scheduled non-driving errands in accordance with established time schedules.

  • Performs other clerical or administrative duties as requested.

  • Assists in the care and maintenance of equipment and supplies.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the position will have the following qualifications:

Basic Work Requirements:

  • Knowledge of medical office procedures.

  • Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.

  • Ability to perform clerical tasks

  • Ability to operate basic office equipment such as copying machines, postage meter, calculator, typewriter, keyboard and fax machine.

Education and or Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in high school or recent high school graduate

Certificates, Licenses or Registrations:

  • None.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Work may require sitting for long periods of time; also stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 45 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, operate a calculator, telephone, photocopier and other such office equipment.
