Total Base Pay Range

  • 105,200.00 - 131,500.00 - 157,800.00 USD Annual

The Engineering Supervisor will organize, direct, and facilitate resources consistent with the Business and Enterprise goals.

What you will be doing...

  • Supports continuous systemic improvement initiatives
  • Responsible for creating, maintaining and improving work instructions and best practices within group
  • Implements and supports continuous improvement initiatives in his or her group to improve product development velocity and cost efficiency
  • Develops budget to support profit planning activities and manages within the approved budget constraints
  • Maintains and improves a highly effective and well skilled staff to carry out actions to complete planned objectives, including utilizing the Talent Management system, completing review process and salary planning, maintaining and executing a training matrix, and supporting staffing of the group to meet business demands and objectives

What we are looking for...

Education:

  • US - Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS)-Technical Degree preferred

Experience:

  • Engineering experience in a related field (6-8 years equivalent experience without a 4 year technical degree)
  • Greenbelt experience
  • Demonstrated leadership competency in an engineering environment
  • Demonstrates expertise and commitment to Design for Six Sigma practices, lean product development and waste elimination
  • Good knowledge of WISE and other related Woodward Business Systems
  • Specific technical toolbox (trade-studies, brainstorming, design evaluation matrices, risk management, CAD systems, CAE systems, test methods and systems, configuration management, ECR management, DFMEA, GD&T, or other appropriate design and analysis tools)
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and motivate individuals to perform beyond their comfort zone

License & Certifications:

  • Champions Training
