You'll also assist with the scheduling and customer service to ensure seamless support for our repair teams. The University of New Mexico's (UNM) Automotive Center is an award-winning, full-service vehicle maintenance and repair facility responsible for the safe operation of UNM's fleet of over 700 vehicles. In addition to overseeing the University's fueling and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations, the Automotive Center coordinates all vehicle purchases, transfers, and repairs. With a highly trained team possessing over 130 years of combined experience, the Center ensures that every vehicle in the fleet remains safe, reliable, and ready for service. Key Responsibilities: 1. Source, order and track delivery of parts, tools, and supplies to support timely repairs and maintenance. 2. Serve as primary contact for departments requesting vehicle service or maintenance. 3. Oversees the maintenance of parts and equipment on hand; initiates paperwork to purchase additional quantities when necessary. 4. Create and process repair orders with detailed information of diagnostics, repairs and parts used. 5. Receives incoming materials, supplies, and equipment and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment. 6. Coordinate with Automotive Technicians to ensure efficient workflow and timely service. 7. Corresponds with suppliers for quotations; maintains contact with vendors regarding current status of parts and maintenance. 8. Assist with the transportation and coordination of vehicles for repair, fueling, inspections, or vendor servicing. 9. Maintains inventory databases. 10. Stay current with recalls, service bulletins, and vehicle warranty requirements. 11. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Why Join Us? Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
