JOB SUMMARY: Project Manager, Product Innovation Temp is responsible for coordinating, establishing, and executing projects that drive both current and new product innovations within the Novocure Oncology organization. Reporting to the Senior Director of Product & Portfolio Strategy, this individual will partner closely with Sr. Project Manager and cross-functional project teams to support the execution of strategic initiatives and new product launch across our portfolio. This role requires exceptional project management expertise, particularly in medical device software, consumables, and digital solutions. This individual will operate with high autonomy in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, balancing priorities across multiple projects with strong attention to detail. In addition to managing key projects from initiation through launch, the role also supports the overall project management infrastructure, including metrics, reporting, administration, and business reviews. This is a temporary, non-exempt, role tied to the Chesterbrook office reporting to the Senior Director, Product Portfolio & Strategy. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with Sr. Project Manager to Lead or support cross-functional teams to evaluate, develop, and manage innovative product and process initiatives across their lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and launch timelines
- Collaborate with Sr. Project Manager to serve as the operational point of contact across Product Development, Commercial, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and other functional teams
- Collaborates with product development teams to plan, execute, and monitor cross-functional projects, providing input on products and services while managing scope, timeline, budget, resourcing, risks, and key milestones
- Co-manages and coordinates Product Development Team (PDT) meetings, maintains Product Innovation dashboards, and leads the Product Innovation Leadership Team (PILT) committee meetings, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to lead without formal authority.
- Drive and track product launch readiness through clear roadmaps, issue resolution, stakeholder alignment, and launch planning
- Develop mechanisms to monitor and report project status, risks, and progress to stakeholders and senior leadership
- Contribute to best-practice adoption in project management tools, reporting standards, and team processes
- Co-manage requirements gathering, planning, and change management in partnership with stakeholders to meet business objectives
- Ensure stakeholder engagement and team accountability across diverse global teams
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical discipline required; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years of project management and product development experience, with at least 2 years in a medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotech environment
- Strong experience in project planning tools including Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent platforms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with strong analytical and communication skills
- Demonstrated strong autonomy and influence across a matrixed organization
- Adept at managing multiple workstreams, driving clarity in ambiguity, and solving complex problems involving multiple functions
- Demonstrates problem-solving skills by independently managing complex, cross-functional projects. Provides clarity amid ambiguity, drives issue resolution through detailed analysis, and contributes to setting program goals, timelines, and policies that enhance project management effectiveness across the organization.
