Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business is searching for a Post Doctoral Fellow to join their team. This is an exciting opportunityfor someone whothrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. This role will begin in August 2025 and end in May 2026.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Conduct pure and applied research among the faculty and doctoral students at the Tepper School

  • Interdisciplinary research within the Tepper School and CMU or with outside investigators

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Effective problem-solving and critical reasoning skills

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Economics required

  • Strong training in economics, econometrics, and data science, with a demonstrated potential for excellence in research and teaching

  • Priority will be given to candidates who have prior experience (or are capable of) teaching courses in econometrics and empirical economics at the undergraduate or masters levels.

  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

  • Work Posture: This position is operating on a hybrid schedule, with an on-campus/in-office presence three days a week.

  • This is a full-time (37.5 hours), exempt position based in Pittsburgh, PA

  • Fixed Term: This is a fixed-term position with an anticipated end date May 2026
