Position Summary

The University of New Mexico (UNM), College of Nursing (CON) is seeking a dynamic leader to serve as the New Mexico Nursing Education Consortium (NMNEC) Partner Schools Director. This position will oversee the administration and academic aspects of the NMNEC Partnerships.

The mission of NMNEC is to prepare nurses for entry into practice and educational advancement through developing and sustaining a resource-efficient and unified system of accessible, innovative, and state of the art nursing education.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the oversight of co-enrolled students in an ADN and BSN program
  • Engages in all MOU processes in collaboration with others at the CON and partner schools; reviews policies pertinent to the UNM NMNEC partnerships
  • Collects, analyzes, and reports program-level information and outcome assessment data as required (or requested) by the University, CCNE, State Board of Nursing (SBON) and other regulatory bodies and administrators
  • Leads and monitors curriculum review efforts to ensure consistency, comprehensiveness, and relevancy in the CON's courses at the partner schools, and adherence to licensure requirements and accreditation standards
  • Coordinate reviews of student progression issues in collaboration with Progression Committee and Director of Academic Success
  • Monitors and reports on student assessment, progression, attrition, and degree completion data
  • Participates in enrollment efforts in coordination with the CON's Admissions Office
  • Reports to the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Education and collaborates with the undergraduate program directors and CON leadership
  • Provide input to the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Education regarding CON faculty performance reviews, and input related to the evaluation of graduate assistants, and staff if applicable
  • Teaching, service, and scholarship as articulated in policy on Faculty Teaching and Professional Requirements
  • Actively participate in at least one NMNEC committee
  • Traveling locally and statewide to partner locations

The University Of New Mexico College of Nursing, located in Albuquerque, NM, ranks in the top 15% of nursing programs in the country. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A graduate degree in nursing
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and lead a team
  • Active RN license that grants the legal authority to practice as an RN in New Mexico.
  • Experience teaching the NMNEC curriculum
  • Two years of academic nursing education experience
  • Experience with curriculum development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Terminal degree or currently enrolled in a doctoral program
  • Professional Certified Nurse Educator (CNE)
  • Experience in a leadership position
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
