L2:

Estimated annual base pay: $62,000 (minimum) - $77,500 (midpoint) - $93,000 (maximum)

L3:

Estimated annual base pay:$69,600 (minimum) - $87,000 (midpoint) - $104,400 (maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a Field Service Engineer, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Installs, repairs and modifies Woodward control systems (hardware and software) at the customer's location. This is an entry level engineering position with regular support or supervision. This position reports to the Engineering Supervisor, Field Service Supervisor, Customer Service supervisor, Engineering Manager or Manager Aftermarket Sales and Service.

What you will be doing...

  • Prepares for trips by studying technical materials (drawings, schematics, manuals) to determine solutions and necessary tools for system setup or troubleshooting.
  • Collaborates with customers, dispatchers, supervisors, and mentors to define project scope and timelines.
  • Installs, replaces, or oversees equipment and control software setup.
  • Conducts repairs, replacements, or modifications using knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems and tools.
  • Utilizes Woodward hardware/software to diagnose issues, configure systems, and optimize performance.
  • Provides training to customers on operating and maintaining Woodward equipment.
  • Consults with engineering teams to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Creates service and warranty reports for internal and customer use, escalating improvement opportunities.
  • Performs preventative and corrective maintenance and supports office-based tasks between assignments.
  • Demonstrates problem-solving, technical expertise, and cross-cultural communication skills, with a focus on quality and professionalism.
  • 24/7 onsite/on-call service

What we are looking for...

L2:

  • Associate's Degree Technical field with additional relevant experience required

L3:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Engineering required or 2-5 years Experience in relevant field with Associates degree required
  • Up to 70% travel to customer sites required
  • Domestic & International travel required
