Overview
The Business Analyst plays a critical role in identifying and helping to implement opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance across business processes. This role involves deep analysis of workflows, data trends, and performance metrics to recommend strategic and tactical changes that drive measurable results. The analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to define and implement optimized solutions, using data-driven insights and process modeling techniques.
Responsibilities
Analyze current business processes, workflows, and systems to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for optimization.
- Conduct root cause analyses to uncover bottlenecks, redundancies, and areas for automation or process enhancement.
- Identify and recommend ongoing continuous improvement opportunities to maximize team/process efficiencies.
- Model future-state processes and evaluate scenarios using tools such as process maps, simulations, and what-if analyses.
- Monitor post-implementation performance and support change management activities to ensure successful adoption.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with Executive Leadership to assist in identifying dashboard and metric needs aligned with internal benchmarking goals.
- Assist with defining data requirements for specific dashboard and innovation projects and collaborate with internal teams to obtain support and remove blockers.
- Provide additional analysis or insight to add value to the metrics.
- Conduct interviews and require workshops with cross-discipline teams to elicit understanding of business needs.
- Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders with a focus on streamlining operations and improving outcomes.
- Collaborate directly with business partners and department teams in the creation and maintenance of requirements (Features and User Stories).
- Document requirements, define scope and objectives, and formulate systems to parallel with overall business strategies.
- Research production support issues and review/analyze business systems and user needs.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and development teams to drive solutions that meet program-level objectives and vision.
- Communicate timelines, value to be delivered, and risks related to new development or enhancements both internally and externally.
- Collaborate effectively with other job functions to ensure end-to-end coordination and efficiency with scheduled releases.
- Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
- Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent degrees accepted).
- 5-8 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement or operations within a technology enabled or enterprise environment.
- Lean Six Sigma, Green Belt certification.
- Proven track record in business process optimization, including mapping, root cause analysis, and solutioning.
- Proven track record of developing KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics to drive decision making.
- Proven track record working with cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record in working with data analytics, business intelligence tools, or dashboard platforms (DOMO, Tableau, etc.).
- Experience with project management tools such as JIRA and Asana.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum or SAFE frameworks (preferred).
- Basic to Intermediate working knowledge of MS SQL and/or Oracle.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to summarize complex and/or technical information into easy-to-understand pieces, distinguishing message delivery from analysis.
- Tactful diplomat able to work well with diverse personalities, cultures and backgrounds.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to work with minimal direction.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; can translate messaging into high level business communication or technical documentation as needed.
- Ability to summarize complex and/or technical information into easy-to-understand pieces, distinguishing message delivery from analysis.
- Ability to adjust quickly to changing assignments, processes and people while identifying opportunities to further growth and development of self and processes.
- Ability to accomplish goals by setting appropriate objectives and planning effectively while monitoring plans and adjusting as needed to keep plans realistic and focused.
- Ability to prioritize tasks against business priority, effectively manage time against priorities to accomplish them and allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule around project deadlines and implementations, as necessary.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Must be able to provide high-speed internet access / connectivity and office setup and maintenance.
- Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
- No adverse environmental conditions expected.
Base compensation ranges from $95,000 to $115,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
