Washington Trust Advisors, a growing Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), is seeking an experienced Wealth Advisor to add to our investment management services and financial planning team. We are seeking an experienced Advisor to be part of a team working to design, manage, and monitor customized investment portfolios and financial plans, and coordinate with ancillary professionals to benefit our clients. This position will participate in the investment research and asset allocation committees as well as large account presentations, complex case resolutions, and prospective client engagements.

The ideal candidate combines strong financial planning with deep market insight in a role that blends investment strategy with client relationship management. You'll also play a key role in business development, investment analysis, and committee participation.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide advice to clients on broad financial planning matters, including investments, retirement planning, taxes, and estate planning.
  • Conduct periodic account reviews of investments, performance, client goals, and objectives.
  • Buy and sell securities for assigned accounts in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate client communications
  • Understand and effectively utilize financial planning software
  • Support client retention efforts and new business development.
  • Demonstrate a consistently positive attitude and prioritize excellent client service.



Qualifications:



  • 15+ years of experience in financial planning, portfolio management, and wealth advisory.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, valuation techniques, and risk management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-first mindset
  • CFP designation strongly preferred; CFA desirable
  • Series 65 license required

  • Extensive knowledge of investments and their effect on the investment plans designed to meet the intent of the client; he ability to analyze securities and make investment recommendations and decisions is required.
  • Knowledge of ancillary wealth management solutions, such as insurance and tax strategies.
  • Experience with Money Guide, Holistiplan, and Black Diamond desired.
  • A natural communicator who can translate complex market insights into actionable advice for clients
  • A trusted advisor who builds long-term relationships through transparency, performance, and service
