Mission:

The Director of Incentives, Product Planning, and Competitive Intelligence will structure and lead a centralized competitive intelligence function along with all commercial action discussions & product planning discussions regionally. Identifying accurate and timely competitive activity within the US auto industry, and effectively incorporate this intelligence into sustainable sales growth strategy (including overall incentive strategy & product strategy) for Maserati. The selected candidate will be tasked with development and implementation of an industry-benchmark activity, institutionalizing a lean but robust competitive intelligence capability, providing a competitive advantage to MNA. This position will build upon and connect existing processes and competitive information that is a balance between what is resident throughout the organization, as well as leveraging external assets and services to enhance the organization. This person will "connect the intelligence dots" to understand market dynamics, potential actions of competitors in the marketplace, and communicate those findings on a real-time basis in the context of their implications to MNA. This role will help define key competitors, competitive brands and strategies, daily segment analysis and net price position.

Position will support & develop MNA incentive strategy, long term residual value targets, and product price positioning for all Maserati nameplates. This person will support MNA sales, share, profit, vehicle margin targets, and incentive spend goals through competitive intelligence & incentive planning efforts.

Main Activities:

The ideal candidate has extensive experience directing/managing incentive strategy while also demonstrating a superior ability to collect and synthesize intelligence data from multiple direct and indirect sources (internal and external) that provide competitive context and insights to support commercial actions.




  • Effectively submit incentive proposals with appropriate rationale for sales growth & spending levels.
  • Publish competitive intelligence news to regional stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Candidate should be self-directed and highly motivated leader.
  • Provide on-demand, customized intelligence reports to key development stakeholders upon request.
  • Actively manage captive finance partner relationships.
  • Manage all regional product planning activities including discussions on vehicle pricing, regional order activity, & dealer product communications.
  • Establish regional competitive benchmarking for Maserati products

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field of study
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in automotive or related industry, with experience in incentive management, direct primary research, intelligence, product planning, or related experience
  • Ability to collect, synthesize and communicate relevant information distilled from massive quantities of unstructured data
  • Ability to lead incentive direction with unique ideas backed with data to improve sales & profit while not exceeding incentive spend targets
  • Demonstrated ability to establish a competitive intelligence organization and associated processes Ability to collect, synthesize and communicate relevant information distilled from large quantities of unstructured data
  • Robust communication skills - able to present to all levels of the organization including top management
  • Keen ability to prepare and corrective sales planning / go-to-market strategy
  • Developed presentation skills to senior management
  • Ability to deliver under pressure with high visibility
  • Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel proficiency
  • Strong verbal communications skills
