What You'll Do:

  • Provide ongoing legal support and strategy for Adobe's Global Marketing Organization and various product marketing and advertising activities, with a focus on advanced media and technology (i.e., comparative advertising, content licensing, branding, behavioral advertising, location targeting, connected devices, etc.)
  • Draft and negotiate key contracts such as terms and conditions, influencer agreements, speaker agreements, sponsorship agreements, contest, sweepstakes, and promotions rules
  • Partner with the Privacy Team to apply standard methodologies and requirements related to global privacy laws, including rules around email and telephone marketing by region, appropriate collection and use of personal information, and laws applying to digital addressable advertising.
  • Coordinate with global stakeholders across Legal, Global Marketing, and Product Marketing
  • Continually educate business and legal colleagues on marketing law developments and methodologies by creating and maintaining standards and playbooks, and conducting internal training
  • Identify areas for improvement in internal processes and drive implementation

What You Need to Succeed

Basic Qualifications:

  • J.D. and license to practice law in good standing with any state
  • Minimum of eight 8-10 years of legal experience in private practice and/or in-house
  • Experience drafting and negotiating advertising and digital media contracts
  • Trademark experience, with experience managing outside counsel on international clearance, prosecution, and disputes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-house experience strongly preferred, with experience drafting and negotiating advertising and digital media contracts
  • Registered in-house counsel in CA
  • Experience advising on privacy and new technology issues
  • Experience with 4A's/IAB 3.0 addenda from brands and ad agencies
  • Familiarity with marketing and advertising systems including consent management and email marketing platforms
  • Excellent business judgment, communication, and social skills
  • The ability to juggle multiple projects at a time in an exciting, fast-paced environment, both collaborating as a team to stay in sync and working independently to get the job done
  • Self-reliance, and the ability to prioritize workload
  • Enthusiasm about creativity, innovation and Adobe
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $164,600 -- $311,900 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
