What does the job involve?
Position performs a critical role in achieving and maintaining necessary cyber security controls (including CMMC compliance) and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices.
What will my responsibilities include?
- Develop and maintain cyber security documentation for CMMC and ITAR compliance including policies, plans, procedures, checklists, and work instructions.
- Participate in security assessments and audits including coordination, evaluation of on premises and cloud environments, collection of evidence and artifacts, and documenting results.
- Prepare and manage documentation for certification audits, ensuring that all required evidence and controls are in place.
- Serve as a bridge between IT and other critical business departments to provide guidance on IT compliance policies and best practices to reduce risk across the organization.
- Analyze current IT compliance processes and recommend areas for improvement, such as automating workflows, streamlining compliance checks, and implementing new risk management tools.
- Assist in reviewing contracts related to IT services and products, ensuring alignment with company policies and compliance requirements.
- Assist in producing customer-facing compliance documentation and addressing security related inquiries from customers or partners.
- Deliver relevant KPIs and metrics for effective management use
What key skills and experience do I need?
- Ability to work both independently without constant supervision and as a team member.
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills; capability and experience in technical, procedural, and policy writing.
- Excellent and reliable organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/assignments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Online/Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong customer service skills and a customer-focused mindset (internal and external).
- The ability to maintain a high degree of integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.
What qualifications should I have?
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other relevant field and/or equivalent IT certifications (e.g., CISSP, CTSM) combined with adequate work experience.
- Previous experience in IT systems compliance and related risk management and governance.
- Familiarity with CMMC, DFARS, NIST 800-171, ITAR, ISO 27001, and other similar government regulations and industry standards.
- Strong understanding of Active Directory, enterprise networking concepts, and cyber security principles.
- Due to government regulation and access to sensitive data, must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. national.
- Ability to pass necessary extensive background check.
