QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, or a related field plus 5+ years of work experience in software development, engineering, testing, or a related field.
- Alternative Requirement: Master's degree in Technology, Engineering, or a related field plus 3 years of experience in software development, engineering, testing, or a related field required.
- 5+ years of work experience with Oracle Procedural Language/Structured Query Language PL/SQL , Oracle Apps R12.
- 2+ years of work experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Applications (OBIA) and Oracle Communications Data Model(OCDM) Reports, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) jobs.
Any experience with all of the following:
- Advanced knowledge in Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle APPS R12, Oracle Billing & Revenue Management, Oracle Golden Gate(OGG), SIL, SDE & ODI jobs along with the Load Plans.
- Proficient in working with Oracle RDBMS (Relational Database Management System).
- Working knowledge on the Extract and Replicat processes of Oracle Goldengate.
- Demonstrating a systematic structured problem- solving approach.
- Ability to generalize a specific problem and derive solution for a class of problem.
- Ability to derive causal relationship from ambiguous data.
- Adhering to established coding and process best practices.
- Demonstrating progressive strive toward working autonomously.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Perform DEV and UAT testing on existing and newly developed OBIEE reports for Payables, Receivables, and Intercompany EBS modules.
- Perform DEV and UAT testing on existing and newly developed Oracle Communications Data Model(OCDM) reports based on Oracle Billing and Revenue Management data.
- Perform Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) level testing on the mappings executed as part of OBIA and OCDM data loads from source to target.
- Perform testing of source and target data replication through Oracle Goldengate configurations.
- Consumer, author & super user role-based testing of OBIA & OCDM reports.
- Analyze Source Dependent Extract (SDE) and Source Independent Load (SIL) jobs to better understand the data flow from EBS source to target tables with OBIA Load Plans.
- Prepare test cases and test plan documents based on the requirements and perform tests in non-production environments to assess the quality and integrity of the reports.
- Analyze data flow from Billing Revenue Management (BRM) tables to staging tables and then from derived and base tables to the target data warehouse tables (OCDM applications).
- Analyze SQL report queries to understand the data flow into OBIA & OCDM reports.
- Validate log scripts in every instance post migration.
- Interact with Product Management, Project Management, Engineering, and Operations teams to plan testing for the delivery of products and enhancements.
- Develop and execute functional and performance testing for assigned projects.
- Create the test data in Oracle Apps R12 or Oracle BRM application and develop source vs target based SQL queries to validate there is no data discrepancy.
- Report issues and results, researching and identifying root causes based on the analysis from SNP queries.
- Ensure that testing addresses requirements as agreed with other stakeholders.
- Cooperate in the enhancement of the methodologies employed for test planning and execution, defect tracking, and metric and status reporting.
- Work across teams to enhance quality assurance/testing and help develop/execute functional and performance testing throughout the business as appropriate.
- Follow Agile Methodologies and update the assigned JIRA tickets with daily activities.
- Attend Agile meetings as scheduled for daily sprint updates, as well as sprint planning and sprint retrospective meetings, which occur biweekly.
