Position Summary:

The Applications Engineer is the technical expert and liaison between Automation Solutions and our customer and distribution network. The Applications Engineer is responsible for providing pre-sales technical support to the commercial team and developing, quoting, and supporting creative solutions for non-standard solutions for conveyors, palletizers, and related accessories.

This position can be located in the Milwaukee or Oshkosh Wisconsin area with a hybrid work from home schedule

Major Responsibilities:

Responsible for management of the quoting process, which includes intake of the Request for Proposal, reviewing customer specifications, facilitating the preparation of accurate estimates, identifying position risks and alternative solutions, and assisting with preparation of accurate and functional customer layout drawings.

Review project requirements with Engineering and Manufacturing to collaborate on a match for the correct Arrowhead Systems product for the customer application.

Organize and participate in meetings with other departments to review layouts, applications, and estimates within proposals. Incorporate changes resulting from meetings prior to submitting the proposal to the customer.

Prepare the Sales Order Digest (information that is required for engineering and manufacturing to proceed) for projects that are awarded.

Schedule and manage Technical Review Meetings

Complete and reconcile all information required for the Order Entry Process.

Issue amendments to the original proposal and submit amendments to the Sales Order Digest.

Participate in internal inspection and ensure all shipments meet and exceed the customer expectation.

Help develop standard estimates to be maintained in library.

Perform all other duties and responsibilities as required.

Travel as needed up to 10%

Qualifications

  • BSME or other Eng. Discipline required

  • 5+ years of experience required

  • CAD experience, (AutoCAD or other) preferred

  • Exposure to manufacturing processes, reading specifications, manufacturing drawings and ASME or other industry codes and standards required
