ResponsibilitiesResponsible for leading and managing the Public Safety program and the Public Safety Officers for UnityPoint Health - Des Moines (UPH-DM) to achieve specific quality, safety, security, service and financial goals while providing a safe and secure environment for visitors, patients, physicians and staff. -. Responsible for managing the Parking Department by coordinating needs and services with DMPA and the Grounds Department to provide a safe, secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Oversees the hiring, termination, daily staffing, performance management and staff development while building positive customer relationships and utilizing open communication. Responsible for conducting quality audits with customers and developing improvement strategies for increasing customer satisfaction while maintaining financial goals for each department. Responsible for the Public Safety Department responses to all disaster and/or emergencies, both internal and external, while working in collaboration and cooperation with the administrative staff at UnityPoint Health- Des Moines. QualificationsEDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or a related field is preferred but commensurate work experience within the industry may be substituted for a degree. Ability to read, write and speak fluent English. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five (5) years of Security enforcement in a medical setting experience preferred with a minimum of 3 years of direct supervision. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: A valid Iowa Drivers' License and be insurable. Certification required in the following: AS, OC/Pepper Spray, Handcuffs, CPR, AED and MAB. |
