Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra seeks a Systems Administrator, Senior (Linux, AWS) to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The role of the Systems Administrator, Senior (Linux, AWS) is to provision and manage, under minimal supervision, a dynamic on-prem and cloud-based architecture consisting of virtualized resources that support multi-tiered HA/Clustered applications, services, databases, and capabilities using various cloud services, platforms, and operating systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct knowledge transfer to junior Linux System Administration staff and provide training on new techniques and processes.
  • Communicate frequently with senior level staff and customers on issues related to system administration; provide customer support as necessary.
  • Perform senior level technical skills in trouble shooting, cause, and resolution on Linux Servers in AWS Cloud.
  • Work with the formulation and/or implementation of policies and procedures pertaining to database management, security maintenance, and utilization.
  • Consult with users on issues relative to procedures, technical problems, and methodologies.
  • Develop and enhance processes and technical documentation; create back-up procedures, test plans and reports.
  • Provide day-to-day system administration support to assigned systems, new deployments of systems, test, and evaluation of hardware and maintain system documentation in AWS Cloud.
  • Provide an architectural framework for information system development, maintenance, and enhancement efforts.
  • Install, configure, and maintain the organization's Linux Server instances in AWS Cloud.
  • Maintain operating efficiency and stability, ensure the security and integrity of all systems and data, and respond to outages and other issues.
  • Analyze systems and perform usability testing to ensure performance and reliability, enhance scalability, and meet security requirements within AWS Cloud.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree, or in lieu of a degree, equivalent related work experience.
  • A minimum of 8+ years' experience in infrastructure support.
  • A minimum of 3+ years' experience in public/private cloud technologies especially AWS.
  • A minimum of 6 years' recent extensive hands-on work experience with Unix/Linux (cradle to grave).
  • Hands-on work experience with AWS Cloud.
  • Experience working with ITIL processes.
  • Work independently or as part of a team and have strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Healthcare/insurance project experience.
  • Experience working with State government projects.

USD $84,800.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
