(over by the outlet mall) ROLE OVERVIEW While working in the Clean Room, Coating, Converting, Extrusion, Lamination, Rewind, Slitting or Press department you will be given an opportunity to develop your skills through our training programs. You start at an assistant level position to learn the basics, and have the chance to progress and become a machine operator. You will have various opportunities to cross-train and develop new skill sets for a successful career at Amcor. SHIFTS: 12-hour shifts on WEEKEND day shift ($25.14/hr) COMPENSATION:$25.14/hr + 1.5x pay on Sundays! BENEFITS: Health & Wellness: Health Insurance, Pharmacy Coverage, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Supplemental Life Insurance & Dependent Life Insurance, Short Term and Long-Term Disability Coverage, Confidential Employee Assistance Program, Wellness Rewards Program Retirement: 401(k) match up to 8%, Training & Education: Tuition Reimbursement WHAT COATER ASSISTANTS GET TO DO: Assist the Assistant Coater Operator/ Coater Operator with the operation of an adhesive/extrusion coater machine in order to consistently produce high quality packaging film in accordance with Amcor Specialty film specifications. Duties include, but are not limited to, 1) Read job specification to determine cores, primers, and other supplies needed by the operator for each product produced 2) Banding up return stock, empty cores, header boards, start-up rolls and butt rolls, 3) loading rolls of stock material onto the unwind of the extrusion coater/laminator by using an overhead hoist 4) Changing and cleaning silicone rolls 5) Remove rolls of finished material (jumbos) from the rewind of the extrusion coater/laminator by using an overhead hoist system 6) Prepares material to be properly stored and accurately returned to inventory 7) Operators lift truck and adheres to established power lift trucks and guidelines.
