The role is a vital member of the care team, responsible for exercising appropriate leadership and oversight of department projects under the direction of the Nurse Manager and Administrative Director. In addition to performing the duties of a Medical Assistant, the position serves as a role model and resource for project associated work. The Lead facilitates office-wide communication and project management to enhance operational efficiency.
Essential Functions (Key Roles & Responsibilities) Oversees department project work assigned by department leadership. Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines. Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring proper workload distribution, effective utilization of resources, and timely completion. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth. Participates in the interview process for new MAs and serves as a preceptor for new hires or students, supervising clinic support staff and creating coverage schedules for the MA team. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards Education Experience with project- based work, both participating and leading- 1+ year preferred Strong leadership and team management skills. Superior organizational skills and attention to detail. Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols. Proficiency in Epic, Salesforce, Adobe, Excel. Ability to take vital signs, manual blood pressures, collect blood samples and other specimens. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
