About the role:

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you'll be a technical leader and go-to person for complex challenges, driving decision-making processes and high-level architecture designs while mentoring junior engineers.
You'll work on a real-time data platform for the Department of Defense that processes over a billion events daily from 750+ sensors, presenting critical information to operators for time-sensitive decisions. Key technologies include Kafka, Kafka Streams, Pinot, Java, Scala, Kubernetes, React, and TypeScript.



  • Build modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and create APIs connecting frontend to real-time data streams
  • Develop data infrastructure and platforms using streaming frameworks (Apache Kafka, Flink, Kafka Streams)
  • Create ETL pipelines and design intuitive user interfaces for complex data visualization
  • Architect and implement large-scale full stack applications in cloud-native environments


This role is contingent on contract award.

What we are looking for:



  • 5+ years of hands-on full stack development experience
  • Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, JavaScript ecosystem, and API development (REST/GraphQL)
  • In-depth experience with fault-tolerant, data-intensive platforms using Kafka, Pinot, or Flink
  • Experience with large-scale databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch) and ETL processing
  • Cloud-native software development and deployment experience
  • Knowledge of package managers (Maven, Gradle, NPM) and software design patterns
  • Understanding of responsive design and web development best practices
  • Obtain Security+ certification within 90 days of employment


Highly preferred:



  • Data visualization libraries (D3.js, Recharts, Plotly) and modern frontend tooling
  • Kubernetes, monitoring/logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana), and Helm Charts
  • Real-time web technologies (WebSockets, Server-Sent Events)
  • Python or GoLang experience


Clearance Requirements:



  • Active Secret clearance.


Work Type:



  • Onsite in Boulder, CO
  • May require up to 15% travel


Salary Range:



  • $140,000 - $190,000
  • The determination of compensation is predicated upon a candidate's comprehensive experience, demonstrated skill, and proven abilities
