As the Maintenance Engineer, you will perform special maintenance projects, manage small investment capital, maintain maintenance procedures, perform general maintenance engineering tasks and support the maintenance function for the site. You will report directly to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager and will work with maintenance techs, maintenance supervisors, reliability personnel, and operations to implement maintenance strategies that support safety, quality, and production goals. You will work onsite in Lake Charles, LA. Main Responsibilities: Perform mechanical engineering tasks related to equipment design, troubleshooting, and modification Lead special assigned maintenance projects Provide engineering support on repetitive or complex maintenance problems Update and draft maintenance procedures Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities Review vendor drawings for compliance to site standards Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering is required, 10+ years of directly related maintenance engineering experience may be considered in lieu of degree 3+ years of experience required; experience within manufacturing or industrial maintenance setting is preferred Be able to understand and apply maintenance procedures Have a working knowledge of process safety management Understand technical drawings, specifications, and equipment documentation Use computer systems (Microsoft Office, SAP preferred) for data entry, analysis, and retrieval Familiarity with equipment operating in corrosive and erosive processes preferred PPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
