TITLE: Intern

POSITION OBJECTIVE: This Internship role will support the Quality Department.

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Pursuit of bachelor's degree in science
  • Good organizational skills and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks and demands
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Adobe Illustrator
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • The ability to maintain and update records and forms such as: Calibration, SDS, Standard Operating Procedures, and Customer Requirements Specifications.
  • Ability to learn/assist in analyzing data by understanding and using basic quality tools, such as Pareto Diagram, Histograms, Flow Chart, Check Sheet, Cause and Effect Diagram, Trend and Control Charts. Conduct Comparative Analysis, Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Gage R & R studies.
  • Ability to learn/assist in the accurate use and operation of various test equipment such as digital micrometers, digital force gauges, tear tester, tensile strength tester, dart drop, and shadow graphs. Be able to summarize test data and state conclusions to support customer requirements.
  • Working closely with the quality assurance team to understand the company's quality control systems and guidelines
  • Participating in the testing of products, services, or using software by working with testing apparatus to assess/test quality specification/compliance of product (s).
  • Coordinate sample preparation, testing and shipment
  • Ability to contribute to the creation of quality documentation and manuals
  • Assist in managing the relationship and communications with our 3rd party laboratory
