Echelon Services is hiring a UX/UI Developer to support one of our government customers in Fairfield, CA.




  • Translate user needs and business goals into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
  • Develop responsive, interactive web interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including jQuery), and Bootstrap.
  • Ability to use C# to implement UI features, integrate with back-end services, and ensure design fidelity across platforms within a Visual Studio environment.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to iterate on and improve existing interfaces.
  • Create and maintain design systems, UI style guides, and component libraries.
  • Optimize applications for performance, accessibility (WCAG standards), and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand product requirements and user behaviors, often within an Agile development framework.
  • Stay up-to-date with UI/UX trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to our stack.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer, Front-End Developer, or a similar role with a strong portfolio showcasing your design and development work.
  • Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including proficiency with jQuery), and Bootstrap.
  • Solid understanding of responsive design principles and best practices.
  • Experience or strong familiarity with working in a .NET development environment, including collaborating with C# developers and using Visual Studio.
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

    • Familiarity with other front-end JavaScript frameworks.
    • Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
    • Experience with formal user research and usability testing methodologies.
    • Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
