Job Overview:

The Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the assigned departments, ensuring accountability, reliability, and strong communication within the team. They will be focused on promoting a safe and efficient work environment while prioritizing team building, productivity, and adherence to schedule.



Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

    Lead the operations of the assigned department, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.
  • Lead and manage hourly team members, providing direction, support, and training as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, providing training as required.
  • Uphold and enforce company policies and practices fairly and consistently.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to internal and external quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with direct reports, management counterparts, and external contacts.
  • Evaluate, manage, and motivate direct reports, fostering a high-performance culture with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Drive results in a lean manufacturing environment to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs.
  • Responsible for hiring within the department, ensuring the best-fit candidates are selected.


Qualifications

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing (with at least 25 direct reports); experience in metal fabrication and finishing preferred.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related field preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), ERP systems, and ADP.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, build employee engagement, and promote a high-performance culture.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and external contacts.
  • Commitment to driving results in a lean manufacturing environment to achieve KPIs.
