Main Duties & Responsibilities

Job Summary: Manages maintenance department including the
maintenance salary team, by providing leadership and support to the people in
that department enabling them to maximize their effectiveness to support manufacturing
processes and operators in joint effort to achieve the company's goals of
competitive and profitable products for the corporation. Additionally, provides
guidance and leadership to help all technical professionals and maintenance team
so that we properly maintain the facility, focus an effective PM program, assure
compliance with all regulatory and operating permits and participate in the
development and timely implementation of projects assigned to the department.
Manage the maintenance salary team which supervises
and coordinate the work of employees who repair and maintain building/facility,
equipment and machinery.

Job Duties and
Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Develops goals for the manufacturing services department (Maintenance and Facilities ) and ensure that these goals are rolled out for each individual within the department to reflect the goals of the company.

Manages assigned projects and delegates day to day control to technical professionals and to the maintenance salary team. Schedules preventative maintenance and repairs in support of continuous production operations.

Develops and implement innovative preventative maintenance methods with priority on uptime for production processes and with focus on improvements in safety, OSHA and environmental compliance, product quality and support of manufacturing productivity goals.

Oversees the maintenance upkeep on buildings and grounds, security systems and communications. Provide specifications for meeting the processing and operational requirements in the selection of equipment.

Develops and manages a department budget that meets or exceeds stated company goals and objectives. Conduct cost study analyses for capital expenditures. Review and make recommendations regarding the feasibility; proper layouts for economic operations; reliability; and maintenance accessibility of the proposed and authorized projects

Oversees the quotation, initiation, scheduling, and coordination of all manufacturing service activities in support of operations. Focus on equipment uptime and cost avoidance.

Supervises, provides leadership, and coordinates activities for a department focused on manufacturing services. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Provide technical assistance and operating support to the plant departments as needed; collaborate with the department supervisors and managers in determining engineering, maintenance, or repairs priorities to establish work schedules and personnel assignments.

Arrange for and manage, appropriate third-party contractor support, as needed.

Enforce sound safety and housekeeping practices.

Qualifications
Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree in an engineering
discipline; plus three to five years of experience in a related engineering and
maintenance discipline; knowledgeable in manufacturing operations, lean
manufacturing concepts, and at least three years of management experience; or equivalent combination of
education and experience.

Physical Requirements: This position
requires the mental ability to read and comprehend policies, procedures,
instructions, etc., to write reports, to use logic and data to solve problems,
to assess needs, to communicate effectively, and varying degrees of
independence, judgment, and discretion. This position requires the physical
ability to be mobile in an office and industrial environment, to finger and
grasp materials, to speak effectively, and to listen with intent. Basic computer skills to include Microsoft
and AutoCAD are required.
