Overview and Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Director of Operations - REMOTE to join our team. In this position, you are responsible for setting departmental and individual goals based on company objectives and communicates those goals effectively to staff. Develop strategies and action plans to achieve department goals, create objective and measurable criteria that will be used to gauge the results of individual staff's actions, also plan, prioritize, and direct work assignments, develop incentives and tools to help staff meet individual and departmental goals. Also responsible for monitoring the staff's performance and their efforts toward department goals, evaluate the financial performance of their department on a scheduled basis and interface with respective staff and other managers to assure corrective action is taken when problems are identified and hold others accountable in a constructive manner and guide staff through difficulties to achieve department goals and maintain documented improvement plans and staff success.

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to lead and oversee the strategic growth and operational efficiency of our Wound Care Program. This role requires a strong leader with expertise in healthcare operations, financial management, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with clinical teams, leadership, and external partners to ensure high-quality patient care and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations of the wound care department, ensuring efficiency and quality care.
  • Strategic Growth: Develop and implement strategies to expand and enhance wound care services.
  • Financial & Operational Performance: Accountable for the financial and operational performance of the department and CSR teams across multiple locations, including remote and offshore teams.
  • Team Management: Recruit, train, and lead wound care personnel, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, company policies, and best practices.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with referring physicians, healthcare providers, and administrative personnel.
  • Service Team Management: Lead and oversee the Negative Pressure Wound Therapy and Advanced Wound Dressings service teams, ensuring optimal performance and coordination.
  • Goal Setting & Execution: Establish departmental and individual goals based on company objectives, communicate them effectively to staff, and develop actionable strategies with measurable criteria.
  • Work Assignments & Prioritization: Plan, prioritize, and direct work assignments while implementing tools and incentives to support staff in meeting goals.
  • Performance Monitoring & Accountability: Conduct regular performance reviews for direct reports, approve performance reviews for all reporting team members, and maintain appropriate documentation regarding personnel performance.
  • Financial Evaluation: Regularly assess financial performance, collaborate with staff and managers to address challenges, and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Industry & Market Awareness: Stay informed on trends within the wound care industry and market landscape to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Compliance Record Keeping: Maintain accurate location-level records for compliance purposes and update operational manuals and processes to ensure ongoing adherence to policies.
  • Revenue Growth & Cash Collections: Collaborate with location employees, referral sources, patients, and the management team to grow revenue and maintain a high level of upfront cash collections.
  • Operational Excellence: Provide leadership and accountability within the division to drive efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness in operations, including ticketing workflows.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Foster strong cross-functional relationships at the local, area, regional, and corporate levels.
  • Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Chief Sales Officer.
  • Other Duties: Performs other duties as assigned.

Travel

  • Travel required up to 30% of time

Qualifications

Employment is contingent on

  • Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in healthcare operations, preferably in wound care or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, financial acumen, and ability to drive operational success.
