Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Clerical Assistant Casual for the School of Social Work. This position works under the supervision of the Associate Director, Center for Prevention Science.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Provides administrative and logistical support to an externally funded project which focus on substance use prevention research and evaluation. J
  • Handles data management, data entry, and administrative support such as taking meeting minutes, updating website, communication with external organizations.

FLSA Nonexempt
Salary Details $19/hourly

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant office experience.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Comfortable with technology.
  • Capability to learn new programs and methods.
  • Ability to complete assignments independently and work productively in collaborative situations. Ability to exercise independent judgement when appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in the social sciences such as social work, psychology, or related social services field.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with spreadsheet/database applications, and website development.
  • Experience with social media content management.
