The Role

Since Sergio Salvador is moving to a new mission as VP Marketing for the PAL Division, we are looking for his replacement.

The Vice President/Business Line Manager, Power and Light will achieve profitable and sustainable growth of the full range of Atlas Copco Power and Light products through unique and effective sales and marketing strategies. In collaboration with the General Manager, Business Line Managers, and Regional Vice Presidents, this position will ensure that the company Power and Light targets are achieved. This position will also drive the future development of marketing and sales strategies and solutions and explore new markets to increase our customer base.

Key objectives are strategic penetrations and continued relationship building with internal and external customers. The long-term objective is to become a single source supplier of our products and services through the creation of programs aimed at getting national rental companies, dealers, distributors, and other key accounts to buy our complete equipment offering.

The Vice President/Business Line Manager, Power and Light has responsibility for leading a high performing and dynamic marketing team to deliver the full growth potential of the Power and Light division. The main responsibilities of the position are:

1. Build, develop and lead a team of high performing marketing professionals.

2. Develop and implement marketing strategies for the North American market to grow market share with dealers, distributors, national rental

companies, and key accounts.

3. Develop solid business relationships with key management personnel at national rental companies, dealers, distributors, and other key

accounts.

4. Build effective relationships with the regions and facilitate best practice sharing across the regions.

5. In collaboration with Business Line Managers and Regional Vice Presidents, drive sales activities to achieve Power and Light targets.

6. Manage inventory levels with accruate forecasting to the Product Companies, and ensure that stock on hand is optimized for demand, including

seasonal demand.

7. Ensure inventory availability is made transparent to both internal and external stakeholders, and that this information is provided current and

timely.

8. Create systems, processes and analytics that leverage data to provide effective actionable insights to the business to improve customer value

and market presence.

9. In collaboration with marketing support, produce highly engaging and creative marketing material based on commercial

insights; define and implement projects aimed at increasing the digitalization of marketing and sales processes.

10. Manage corporate rebate programs and ensure timely reporting on activities.

11. Provide in-depth and informative reports on activities for review during staff, Company Review, and Business Review meetings.

12. Utilize the company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to review and drive sales activities including the maintenance of

contacts, notes, activities and quotations.

13. Coordinate and conduct product demonstrations, plant visits, and training as needed by internal and external customers.

14. Introduce new products and features/benefits to the sales team.

15. Establish and monitor pricing levels to be competitive, as well as profitable, while also ensuring that the pricing structure enables all sales

channels and avoids channel conflict.

16. Research competitor activity and prepare reports for the management team on upcoming threats and opportunities.

17. Gather market intelligence and feedback from key stakeholders for the purpose of new product development.

What we expect of you?

To be successful in this position, the candidate should have:

- a university degree in engineering, sales, marketing, or related; or an equivalent combination of educaton and experience.

- a minimum of 10 years of experience working in sales and/or business development in an industrial environment, with prior knowledge of

national rental companies and operations as well as proven key account business management.

- proven supervisory experience

- the ability to operate effectively in a senior-level business environment, include effectively communicating and developing long-term sustainable

relationships with the management team and key stakeholders.

This position provides supervision and oversight for 4-6 product marketing and application engineering employees.

This position requires moderate travel (up to 50% of the time) throughout the United States, Canada, and globally as needed to coordinate activities.
