    Our MHS Campus Facilities Manager is a full-time, full year position.
    The terms and conditions of this position are covered by an individual contract.
    Salary range of $75,000-$85,000 with actual placement being dependent on qualifications with regionally competitive benefit package.

    Primary Objective of Position:
    Provide leadership and supervision of the Minnetonka High School Campus facilities and building custodial staff.

    Job Responsibilities:
    1. Provide leadership over the Minnetonka High School Campus custodial staff, including developing, evaluating, and modifying the staff goals and operational plans.
    2. Oversee the daily operation of the building custodial staff at the Minnetonka High School Campus, including custodian services, security, energy conservation, and all support functions
    3. Regularly visit and inspect each campus building to evaluate the effectiveness of the building staff maintenance and cleaning.
    4. Perform the recruitment, selection, staff development, and evaluation of building custodial staff members.
    5. Under the direction of the Coordinator of Facilities Services, work as system administrator for the Minnetonka High School Campus and perform all upgrade functions for District building security camera system, District security access card system, District blue print system, District work order system, and District energy management systems in coordination with the District energy consultant.
    6. Supervise and assist in the maintenance of the Minnetonka High School Campus facilities heating and cooling systems, electrical and plumbing systems and security, fire alarm and emergency lighting systems
    7. Serve as a member of the District's administrative team and actively participate in the development, implementation, and achievement of the District's strategic plans.
    8. Implement state and federal regulations and School Board policies related to maintenance of the district buildings.
    9. Under the direction of the Coordinator of Facilities Services, oversee the department budget for custodial maintenance and approve the requisitions for supplies, equipment and materials necessary for the building staff to perform their duties.
    10. Develop and oversee responses to immediate requests from building educational personnel
    11. Ensure buildings are staffed for custodial coverage on a daily basis and take action to ensure building cleaning is covered.
    12. Manages custodial staff and implements the response for all activities that occur on the campus, including but not limited to athletic events, concerts, plays, and parent information events
    13. Oversee snow and ice removal from sidewalks, entrances and walkways to ensure a safe campus during winter months.
    14. Determine individual custodial work schedules and assignments on the Minnetonka High School Campus
    15. Evaluate and order all necessary materials, supplies and equipment for the custodial staff for the Minnetonka High School Campus
    16. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level, including all managerial tasks related to overseeing and running the maintenance of Minnetonka High School Campus facilities and custodial staff activities.


    Job Qualifications:
    1. Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on Business Administration or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent preparation related to the responsibilities of the position.
    2. Experience in management of a public school Buildings and Grounds Department.
    3. A master boiler operator's license is desired.
    4. Evidence of excellent organizational and human relations skills.
    5. Evidence of effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
    6. Evidence of strong initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision, strong communication skills and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
