Description

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Training Coordinator to work in our Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC) Training department. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our Materials and Fuels Complex with every Friday off.

You will maintain and edit training materials/presentations to support training programs. Maintain training database/systems for organizations.

Responsibilities:



  • Prepare and distribute training aids.
  • Serve as information point for worker training/retraining. Modify training plans when employee assignments change.
  • Schedule appropriate classroom(s) and prepare physical setup. Proctor exams.
  • Coordinate with others from across the company and external to INL to schedule personnel in training classes.
  • Set up training job codes, training qualifications/ qualification codes, and training courses. Use the TRAIN application to develop, maintain, and administer job codes, qualifications, employee training plans, required readings, administrative forms, and reports; track employee training requirements and schedule training compatible with employee work schedules; ensure training documentation is correct and enter into the TRAIN system; and process training administrative actions per Lab-wide Training and Qualification Manual.
  • Print rosters for instructors as needed. Receive class rosters and enter into database.
  • Identify certification needs and complete training documentation entries for customized training.
  • Perform testing and piloting support for changes made to TRAIN reports, server migrations, and tools to ensure correct functionality and validate no unintended consequences resulting from the changes.
  • Provide all aspects of training record administration for the training department in accordance with applicable regulatory drivers and company procedures. This includes data entry, scanning, indexing, and filing, into
  • company databases. Maintaining satellite files, records management plan, and record validations. Serve as a training records interface for all levels of management, subject matter experts, instructors, employees, auditors, and assessors.
  • Compile and distribute training schedules and reports. Complete monthly deficiency reports, operational readiness reports and training needs reports to ensure that personnel have the necessary training to have competencies commensurate with their assigned responsibilities. This includes running reports, updating the Annual Training Plan and submitting the information to the appropriate management personnel to take corrective action.
  • Participate in INL Training Coordinator Meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:



  • Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and workplace terminology.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
  • Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing that there is a problem.
  • Ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Level 2: Graduation from high school or equivalency and 2+ years' experience.
  • Level 3: Graduation from high school or equivalency and 4+ years' experience.


Preferred:



  • Experience as a training coordinator.
  • Vocational Certificate in office or business management.
  • Experience with a training records system such as TRAIN.


Job Information:



  • The pay range for this position is: Level 2 ($19.88/hour - $31.80/hour) / Level 3 ($22.43/hour - $37.00/hour). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
  • Multi-Level: This is a multi-level posting and you will be placed at the appropriate level dependent on depth and breadth of proven experience and skills.


Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, and work in an office environment. The job requires hand/finger dexterity to keyboard or type, handle materials, manipulate tools, and reach with hands and arms. The job requires the operation of office equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds with assistance. Sufficient visual acuity and hearing capacity to perform the essential functions and interact with people is required.
