The eDiscovery Services Operations Supervisor manages the daily operations of the eDiscovery Services Department, focusing on the technical and procedural aspects of eDiscovery processes. Reporting to the Manager of eDiscovery Services, this role is responsible for the workflows and execution of electronic discovery matters, ensuring efficient, secure, and defensible data collection, processing, review, and production. The supervisor acts as a liaison between technical teams and legal professionals to support litigation and regulatory matters, collaborating with various stakeholders for timely project delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and administrative skills, take initiative with minimal supervision, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team across all office locations. This position is remote if located in a state with a Ballard office.

Your Role:

As an eDiscovery Services Operations Supervisor within our litigation team, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise daily activities of the eDiscovery team, ensuring high-quality service delivery.

  • Process Oversight: Maintain and improve operational workflows for ESI intake, data processing, hosting, and production

  • Vendor Coordination: Liaise with external vendors for hosting, processing, or forensic services as needed.

  • Team Projects: Ability to lead and participate in cross-functional team projects to implement new or updated technology or discovery workflows.

Required Experience:

A four-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Digital Forensics, Information Systems, or related technical fields is required, along with over 10 years of experience in Litigation Support. Experience in a law firm is preferred. Candidates should possess demonstrated expertise in RelativityOne and other eDiscovery support software, with Relativity administration experience being mandatory. RCA certification is preferred.

A thorough understanding of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), electronic discovery workflows, and the litigation lifecycle is essential. Familiarity with enterprise information technology and various forms of electronically stored information (ESI) is also necessary, alongside knowledge of data privacy and the implications of cross-border data transfers.

Candidates should have a solid understanding of Microsoft Purview and email server environments, such as M365, GSuite, and Exchange, as well as experience with email archiving systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills are important, as the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely is essential.
