Job Summary |
The College of Education at Auburn University is searching for an
Art Design Specialist to join our team
of innovative thinkers and doers, working together to meet society's education and health challenges. We're looking for an energetic, talented and performance minded professional to support our mission of building better futures for all. This role plans, designs, produces and activates printed and electronic art work, exhibit designs, photography/videography, and graphic designs and web presentations for our College. |
Essential Functions |
- Designs and creates graphics and artistic illustrations for print or electronic publications and exhibits.
- Advises and consults with faculty and staff of a department and external entities concerning design projects and expected deliverables.
- Provides original creative ideas and artwork to support project requests.
- Supports office's photography, videography, and website needs.
- Manages inventory to include ordering supplies.
- Maintains graphic equipment and printers.
- May supervise others in the production and coordination of deliverables.
- May be responsible for training, assisting or assigning tasks to others.
- May provide input to performance reviews of other employees.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications |
Level I: Bachelor's degree in graphic design, communications, or related field with no experience.
Level II: Bachelor's degree in graphic design, communications, or related field with 2 years of experience in graphic design, web design, or closely related field.
Level III: Bachelor's degree in graphic design, communications, or related field with 4 years of experience in graphic design, web design, or closely related field.
Substitutions Allowed for Education:
When a candidate has the required experience, but lacks the required education, they may normally apply additional relevant experience toward the education requirement, at a rate of two (2) years relevant experience per year of required education |

- Knows and applies fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular field of specialization, with awareness of related fields.
