The Benefits Senior Principal Consultant will "bridge the gap" between the business and technical teams by solving complex Workday intersystem problems. They will be responsible for leading and managing the implementation of Workday Benefits solutions for our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of Workday Benefits modules, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams. Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of Workday Benefits workstream, including planning, configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Reinforces company policies and procedures to others.
- Helps others by driving, organizing, and assigning tasks within a project workstream in order to drive efficient completion and achieve project goals.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and translate them into effective Workday Benefits configurations, supporting them through all phases within the project.
- Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, while regularly keeping the client, the project team and the Engagement Manager abreast of changes or progress related to the project.
- Willingness to take a leadership position on a project, or as a Cognizant or Workday product Partner Lead and/or Delivery Assurance Reviewer.
- Display your hands-on expertise of the software, including loading client data, moving configuration from tenant to tenant, and configuring business processes and security.
- Utilize your technical aptitude to convert and map data sources into data conversion templates.
- Act as a mentor to fellow consultants and analysts, including providing support for shadow assignments.
- Actively participate in update training and internal opportunities to share one's skills and learnings with others within the organization.
- Additional duties as assigned by manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent.
- Workday certification in Benefits
- 3+ years of Workday Benefits lead experience
- 2-5 years of industry knowledge in Benefits Administration or Human Resource Management with an understanding of benefit concepts such as plan designs, Cobra, Evidence of Insurability, and age reduction rules.
- Experience gathering Benefits business requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
- Demonstrated customer-facing skills and the understanding and ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Possess intermediate/advanced level Excel skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary and Other Compensation Applications will be accepted until 09/8/2025 The annual salary for this position is between $128,093 - $192,140 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program , based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
