Phlebotomist

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Phlebotomist (Medical Technician) to join our dynamic team at the Central Alabama, VA Medical Center in Montgomery, Alabama.

Requirements:

Full Time (40 hours a week)
• Monday thru Friday with possible weekend rotation
• Active BLS
• One year of experience in a health care field that demonstrates the applicant's ability to perform the work or provides an understanding of the work such as but not limited to a medical or clinical laboratory assistant (or technician) or health technician.

Principal responsibilities involve duties of drawing bloods following policies for positive patient identification for inpatients and outpatients as well accession all incoming specimens. Manual dexterity, keen observational skills and sound judgment are required to correctly identify patients prior to venipuncture.
